German Focus

23 - 26 Nov

This year's focus on Germany is not only highlighted within the collaborations between German Kunstvereine and Amsterdam galleries/project spaces. Germany will be well represented throughout the Art Weekend at various other events and exhibitions. For example, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam will open the exhibition Jump into the Future—Art from the '90s and 2000's—the Borgmann Donation, with works donated by German collector Thomas Borgmann, another example is an extension of the exhibition Skins by Christian Friedrich, which is organized by Cobra Museum and on view at Goethe-Institut. Additionally, Sotheby's dedicates its program to German avant-garde artist Herbert Zangs, among others.

The presence of Germany is an embodiment of the international collaboration that began last year with New York and will continue with subsequent editions of the Art Weekend.
