The Prince Claus Fund and the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (AFK) present works by three important artists at three Amsterdam locations: ‘Three Crossings: El-Salahi, Hammons, Brouwn’. Join the opening of Ibrahim El-Salahi’s contribution with curator Salah M. Hassan at the Prince Claus Fund Gallery.

Ibrahim El-Salahi (Sudan, 1930) combines African and Arabic traditions in new conceptual forms. A founding member of the 1960s Khartoum School, he was later imprisoned  without charge during a coup attempt. El-Salahi received the Prince Claus Award in 2001, and was featured in Tate Modern’s first African Modernism retrospective in 2013.
