Arjo Klamer, professor of cultural economics at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and Olav Velthuis, professor of the sociology of art at the University of Amsterdam, will discuss the sometimes problematic relationship between art and commercialism. When is an artist or an art institution too commercial? They will address this question by talking about developments in Paris, Amsterdam, and New York.
