‘The Alphabet Book’ brings together five historical alphabets created by conceptual artists Glenn Lewis (Canada, 1935), Eric Metcalfe (Canada, 1940), Michael Morris (Canada, 1942), Gary Lee Nova (Canada, 1943), Paul Oberst (United States, 1955-2016), and Vincent Trasov (Canada, 1947). The project was initiated by Image Bank (Morris and Trasov’s collaborative name, adopted in 1969), but has never been published as a complete series.
