Frankendael Foundation welcomes the public to the 18th-century manorial estate Huize Frankendael in Amsterdam, disclosing the house as an exhibition space for contemporary art. Inspired by the Salon-d’art, the Foundation makes art resonate throughout society by means of exhibitions, lively debates, networking and recreation inside the estate and outside, in its gardens where art works are exhibited as well on a regular basis. Frankendael Foundation merges the public and private domains in Art Dinners, where artists, visitors, collectors and critics meet during a creative dinner. These dinners are inspiring as well as connecting from different points of view, e.g. science, finance or architecture.

Each year a multitude of large exhibitions are held throughout the house, as well as a number of smaller ones taking place in one or several rooms. Each exhibition is accompanied by a programme of lectures, debates and even sometimes, concerts.
